Does Frigate support custom design engineering?

We can work directly from your approved CAD models, or our engineering team can assist in optimizing your designs for manufacturability (DFM) to reduce material weight and overall lead times. 

How does Frigate ensure the fitment of large-scale modular trusses before they ship to the site?

To avoid costly on-site delays, we perform physical pre-fitment and trial assemblies of critical segments at our manufacturing plant. This ensures that all high-strength bolted connections line up perfectly before surface treatments are applied.

What corrosion protection systems do you recommend for outdoor infrastructure applications?

For maximum longevity, we highly recommend Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG) conforming to ISO 1461, or a multi-coat marine-grade epoxy and polyurethane paint system, depending on whether your site environment is classified from C3 up to C5-M.

Can you supply full traceability documentation for the steel and welding procedures used?

Absolutely. Every shipment is accompanied by a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) dossier, which includes Mill Test Certificates (MTC Type 3.1) for raw steel, Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQR), and non-destructive testing (NDT) reports.

How do you handle logistics and transport for oversized, long-span truss assemblies?

We design and fabricate our long-span systems in modular, shippable segments that comply with standard transport dimensions. We coordinate shipping split points logically so that on-site assembly via bolting or splicing is efficient and straightforward.
