CNC Turning Machining
Maintain at least 1.0 mm for aluminium and 1.5 mm for steel to ensure structural integrity and machinability during CNC operations.
Design internal corners with a minimum radius of R0.5 mm for milling features to accommodate standard end mills without secondary operations.
Keep thread engagement at a minimum of 1.5× nominal diameter for reliable fastening in blind tapped holes across turning and VMC operations.

Dimensional verification using Carl Zeiss Contura G2 Active — 700×700×600 mm envelope, 1.8 μm volumetric accuracy with VAST XT scanning probe.
CNC Contour Measurement
Internal and external profile measurement using Carl Zeiss CNC Contourecord 1600 G-13, thread profiles, chamfers, radii, and angles measured to 0.1 micron resolution.
In-Process Checks
Dimensional monitoring during machining operations using calibrated gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, and height masters.
Surface Roughness Measurement
Ra measurement using Zeiss-Surfocom 50A surface roughness tester, qualifies machined surfaces against drawing specifications.
