Frigate’s Triple Offset Butterfly Valve utilizes a cutting-edge tri-eccentric geometry that eliminates seat wear by ensuring the disc makes contact with the seal only at the final point of closure. This precision-engineered design provides robust, bi-directional tight shut-off, making it an ideal alternative to bulky gate or ball valves in space-critical applications.

Are these valves bi-directional, and does the shut-off rating change based on flow direction?

Yes, Frigate triple offset butterfly valves are engineered for bi-directional zero-leakage shut-off compliant with API 598 and ISO 5208 Rate A. While they seal perfectly in both directions, we flag a “preferred flow direction” on the body to optimize torque performance and maximize the lifespan of the seal ring under continuous high-differential pressures. 

What materials do you offer for highly corrosive or abrasive media?

Beyond our standard stock of Carbon Steel (WCB) and Stainless Steel (CF8M), Frigate routinely manufactures these valves in specialty alloys for severe service. We provide Super Duplex, Monel, Hastelloy, and Inconel configurations, alongside hard-faced Stellite seating surfaces to withstand severe erosion and chemical attack. 

Do your valves comply with low fugitive emission mandates?

Absolutely. Environmental safety is a core priority for Frigate. Our standard triple offset configurations are designed and certified to meet stringent fugitive emissions standards, including ISO 15848-1 Class BH and TA-Luft, utilizing live-loaded graphite packing systems to prevent hazardous material leaks. 

Can Frigate supply fully automated valve packages, or do you only sell bare-stem valves?

We offer both. Frigate can deliver bare-stem valves with ISO 5211 mounting pads for your own integration, or deliver a fully tested, turnkey automated assembly. We partner with leading global brands to supply pneumatic, electric, or electro-hydraulic actuators complete with positioners, limit switches, and solenoid valves.
