We utilize high-strength-to-weight ratio aerospace alloys, such as Titanium Grade 5 and specialized aluminum lithium, combined with internal honeycomb cores or micro-porous aerogels. This allows us to minimize wall thickness and overall mass while meeting rigorous load-bearing and vibration requirements. 

Can you manufacture custom shapes and internal configurations based on existing CAD models?

Yes. Frigate specializes in complex, custom-engineered geometries. Our engineering team conducts comprehensive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews on your 3D CAD files to optimize component placement, integrated mounting tabs, Feed-through ports, and sealing channels. 

What outgassing and environmental standards do your aerospace enclosures adhere to?

All insulation and sealing materials are verified to meet NASA SP-R-0022A and ESA PSS-014-702 standards, ensuring Total Mass Loss (TML) is below 1% and Collected Volatile Condensable Material (CVCM) is below 0.1%. Enclosures also undergo testing to comply with MIL-STD-810H environmental constraints. 

What raw material traceability and quality documentation do you provide upon delivery?

Every shipment includes a comprehensive aerospace-grade documentation package. This consists of Mill Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificate of Conformance (CoC), AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), and detailed non-destructive testing (NDT) records such as ultrasonic or X-ray reports. 

How do you manage lead times for high-priority or Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations?

For critical timelines, Frigate maintains dedicated emergency manufacturing capacity. By utilizing pre-vetted raw material stock and prioritizing fast-tracked CNC programming and NDT execution, we can compress standard production timelines down to 2–3 weeks for qualified custom orders.
