A complete inverter your brand can stand behind, not a reference design that still needs six months of field validation. Frigate’s consumer grade solar inverter assemblies are built for the residential, small commercial, and off-grid markets where price point, field reliability, and fast market entry matter in equal measure. Sold under your brand with your packaging, your documentation, and your warranty terms. Every unit is assembled, tested, and certified before it ships.
Frigate manufactures consumer grade solar inverter assemblies as a complete mechanical and electrical housing package, enclosure body, internal mounting architecture, thermal management structure, heatsink integration, cable entry system, display provisions, and cover panels of assembled and finished to the OEM’s mechanical specification. The assembly is designed for the residential, small commercial, and off-grid inverter segment: compact wall-mount formats, IP65-rated outdoor sealing, and surface finishes validated for high-ambient tropical and coastal deployment environments.
Every assembly is manufactured against the released drawing, PCB standoff layout, power module seating surfaces, transformer mounting position, fan aperture, and cable entry face configuration are all defined by your design package, not by Frigate’s standard. The consumer grade classification defines the size class, cost position, and environmental performance envelope of the assembly, not a compromise on manufacturing standards. First article inspection, finish verification, and full documentation are applied to consumer grade assemblies on the same basis as any other Frigate-manufactured product.

3–6 kW single-phase grid-tie for net metering and feed-in tariff residential installations. Anti-islanding compliant per IEC 62116; dual MPPT for split-orientation rooftop arrays.
1–3 kW off-grid inverters for government and NGO rural electrification programmes. BIS certified for India market; validated for high-ambient-temperature operation in tropical climates.
0.5–1 kW micro inverters for solar home system programmes in emerging markets. Compact form factor, simple commissioning, LED fault indicator — designed for non-specialist installation and maintenance.
6–10 kW hybrid inverters for residential solar-plus-storage installations. Battery port for LiFePO₄ and lead-acid; adjustable power factor for reactive power compliance in markets with grid code requirements.
1–5 kW off-grid inverters for solar agricultural pump systems. Variable frequency drive output available for pump motor compatibility; designed for unattended field operation with minimal maintenance access.
Private label supply for solar distributors building a branded product range across residential and light commercial segments. Full programme support — certification, packaging, documentation, and warranty infrastructure.
At Frigate, quality is built into every stage of manufacturing. Our approved Quality Management System ensures that every material component.
Before production begins, all incoming materials are checked against specifications, drawings, and supplier documents.
Quality is monitored during manufacturing to prevent defects and maintain process consistency.
Finished parts are inspected before dispatch to confirm compliance with customer drawings and tolerances.
Finished components are packed safely to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
To help buyers evaluate our quality systems, we provide sample documents that reflect our inspection and reporting standards.
Complex geometries engineered solutions that move businesses forward.
Yes, and consolidation into a single assembly supply is precisely what the consumer grade programme is structured for. Frigate manufactures the complete mechanical assembly: enclosure body, internal PCB standoffs, power module seating surfaces, transformer mounting, heatsink integration, cable entry configuration, display aperture, cover panels, and surface finish, all under one purchase order, one inspection process, one documentation package. The alternative, coordinating dimensional compatibility, finish consistency, and delivery timing across three separate suppliers, introduces fit and quality risk at every handoff. Submit your full assembly drawing package and Frigate’s engineering team will confirm scope, DFM feedback, and indicative pricing within 3–5 working days.
Earlier than most OEM teams do. The assembly geometry, standoff positions, heatsink surface flatness, cable entry face, fan aperture location, is directly dependent on the internal component layout. If that layout changes after the assembly tooling is committed, it creates rework cost and schedule delay on both sides. Frigate’s DFM review at the STEP model or draft drawing stage identifies the mechanical interdependencies between your component positions and the assembly geometry before anything is locked. Changes at that stage cost nothing. Changes after first article approval cost significantly more. Send us your current STEP file under NDA, even if the design isn’t finalised and we’ll engage at whatever stage your development is at.
Send us the existing assembly drawing or a dimensioned sample with your current supplier’s documentation. Frigate will assess manufacturability, confirm whether the existing design has any features that require tooling investment or process modification, and identify any DFM improvements that would reduce cost or improve assembly quality at the same time. Re-sourcing an existing assembly is faster than developing from scratch, tooling and process are defined against a known geometry rather than a design still in iteration. If there are dimensional or finish deviations from your current supplier that have been causing incoming QC issues, note those at the enquiry stage and Frigate’s team will address them specifically in the DFM review.
A 6x volume increase over 12 months is a supply chain planning event, not just a larger purchase order. Frigate can support that scale, but what makes it work on your end is sharing your volume forecast with us on a rolling 6-month horizon, not arriving with a 3,000-unit order in Q1 of next year without prior notice. The forward forecast is what drives our component procurement, production scheduling, and capacity allocation. For programmes growing at that rate, Frigate moves the supply arrangement to a blanket order structure, you commit to a volume band for the year, we commit to capacity and pricing for that band, and orders are called off against it as your market develops. That protects your unit economics as volume scales and protects your supply continuity as demand grows faster than you can forecast precisely.
This is the right question to resolve before you commit to a private label programme, not after your brand name is on 500 units in the field. Frigate’s consumer grade assemblies are designed and validated for tropical operating conditions, ambient temperature up to 60°C, humidity to 95% RH, and the high-dust environments typical of South Asia and Southeast Asia deployments. Every unit is factory-tested before dispatch: full power-on test, output voltage and frequency verification, protection function check, and display/communication function test. Batch traceability means any field failure can be traced to its production lot, so if a pattern emerges, it’s identifiable and containable before it becomes a brand event. The fastest way to assess this honestly is to run an evaluation batch of 3–5 units in your actual deployment environment before committing to the programme. Frigate supports that and if the product doesn’t perform in your environment, that’s better discovered at evaluation stage than after market launch.
