Frigate’s Rogowski Coils provide a lightweight, split-core sensing solution that easily wraps around large or irregular conductors without disrupting active electrical systems. Offering an expansive dynamic range and wide frequency response, they are the ideal choice for modern power quality analysis, energy management, and robust sub-metering applications.

Can Frigate customize the coil length and internal diameter for specific industrial busbars?

Yes. Frigate provides fully tailored manufacturing for OEM requirements. We can customize the window diameter, rope length, and output leads to seamlessly match your specific space constraints and busbar cross-sections. 

Do these Rogowski Coils require an external integrator to function?

Yes, Rogowski coils produce a voltage that is proportional to the derivative of the current. An electronic integrator or amplifier circuit is required to convert this signal into a standard 0-5V, 4-20mA, or 1A/5A AC signal for meters and PLCs. 

How does Frigate ensure the accuracy of the coil if it is positioned unevenly around a conductor?

Our advanced, precise winding techniques minimize the effects of conductor positioning and external electromagnetic field interference. For maximum accuracy, centering the conductor inside the loop is recommended, though our high-reproducibility winding mitigates position-induced errors.

What raw materials do you use to ensure these coils withstand harsh, outdoor environments?

We use high-grade, UV-stabilized, and flame-retardant thermoplastics (UL94-V0 rated) for the flexible outer sleeve, paired with IP67-rated connectors. This ensures structural integrity against moisture, dust, chemical exposure, and temperature cycling.

What are your quality control procedures before a batch is dispatched from Frigate?

Every single Rogowski coil undergoes stringent routine tests, including insulation resistance checks, high-voltage dielectric testing, phase error validation, and linearity mapping against calibrated current standards. We supply full test documentation upon request.
