Product Description

Frigate’s pneumatic actuated valves are purpose-built to automate the isolation and throttling of aggressive media, gases, and high-pressure steam. Featuring modular configurations, these assemblies integrate seamlessly with positioners, limit switches, and solenoid valves to form a fully responsive flow control loop.

Yes. Frigate specializes in custom engineering; we can modify the end connections, face-to-face lengths, or actuator mounting brackets to match your existing piping layout exactly. Simply provide your current system drawings, and our engineering team will handle the dimensional matching.

We handle high-viscosity media that tends to polymerize. How do your assemblies prevent valve seizure?

For media prone to buildup, we offer cavity-free designs, specialized internal coatings, and high-torque actuators that overcome initial static friction. We will review your media data sheet to select the optimal seat material and torque safety factors.

What testing documentation do you provide before our quality engineering team signs off on the shipment?

Every automated valve assembly undergoes mandatory hydro, pneumatic, and seat-leakage testing per API 598 or EN 12266-1. We provide full material traceability (MTRs to EN 10204 3.1), pressure test certificates, and functional torque diagnostic logs upon request.

Are the positioners and limit switches pre-wired and calibrated, or do we handle that on-site?

We completely assemble, wire, and calibrate all accessories including positioners, solenoids, and limit switches at our facility. Your team only needs to connect the primary air supply and instrument signals on-site, minimizing installation down.

How do you ensure the actuator torque is properly matched to our specific line pressure conditions?

We never use generic sizing. Our engineers calculate the required breakout, running, and closing torques based on your specific maximum differential pressure (DP) and media characteristics, then apply a minimum 30% safety factor to select the actuator.
