Does Frigate support mixed technology (both SMT and Through-Hole) on a single board?

Yes. We feature fully integrated production lines capable of handling complex mixed-technology assemblies, executing surface-mount placements first followed by precise wave or selective soldering for through-hole components. 

Can Frigate work directly from physical sample boards if Gerber files are unavailable?

We do offer reverse engineering services. If you can provide a fully functional golden sample of the PCB, our team can evaluate it to reconstruct the layout and assembly documentation required for manufacturing. 

Do you offer custom jigging or fixtures for irregularly shaped or heavy through-hole components?

Yes. For complex boards with heavy components like transformers, inductors, or non-standard connectors, our engineering team designs and fabricates custom wave solder pallets and assembly fixtures in-house to guarantee perfect component alignment and prevent board warping during processing. 

Can you handle RoHS-compliant lead-free assembly as well as leaded soldering?

Absolutely. Frigate maintains strictly segregated soldering lines for leaded (Sn63/Pb37) and lead-free (SAC305) operations to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination, ensuring complete compliance with your specific environmental directives. 

How does Frigate ensure the quality of through-hole solder joints?

We utilize a multi-stage inspection framework including visual inspections under magnification, automated optical inspection (AOI), and continuous barrel-fill verification to ensure all joints meet IPC-A-610 Class 2 or 3 metrics.
