Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Does Frigate comply with international defence export controls and security protocols?

Yes. Frigate strictly complies with ITAR, AS9100 Rev D, and regional joint certification programs. We maintain robust physical and digital security protocols, ensuring all defence-related blueprints, CAD models, and technical data are handled via secure, restricted-access networks.

What non-destructive testing (NDT) do you perform on defence-grade impeller bodies?

To guarantee zero-defect components, we conduct comprehensive NDT including Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Radiographic Testing (X-Ray). We also provide full ultrasonic testing for raw forging validation and dynamic balancing reports up to ISO G1.0.

Can Frigate manufacture complex, closed-impeller geometries?

Absolutely. Utilizing advanced simultaneous 5-axis CNC machining centers and specialized tooling, we can machine intricate closed or shrouded impeller profiles out of solid billets. This process eliminates split-line weaknesses and ensures maximum structural integrity compared to multi-piece welded alternatives.

Which material grades do you recommend for high-corrosion, high-temperature military applications?

For marine environments, we recommend Super Duplex stainless steel or Titanium grades to prevent pitting and cavitation. For high-temperature aerospace or missile subsystems, we utilize superalloys like Inconel 718 or Cobalt-Chromium, which maintain high yield strength at elevated operating temperatures.

How does Frigate support First Article Inspection (FAI) before serial production?

We fully support AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR). Before initiating Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) or Full-Rate Production (FRP), we supply complete dimensional layouts, material mill certificates, NDT documentation, and CMM reports for buyer approval.
