Fabricated from premium-grade structural steel and finished with advanced corrosion-resistant coatings, these plates are built to endure high seismic, dynamic, and static load demands.

What material grades does Frigate use for heavy-duty base plates?

We primarily fabricate using high-strength structural steel grades such as IS 2062 E250/E350, ASTM A36, and ASTM A572 Grade 50/60. Custom alloying elements and specialized grades can be sourced depending on your project’s environmental and yield strength requirements. 

How does Frigate ensure the surface flatness of thick base plates?

Thick steel plates often possess inherent mill waviness. Frigate utilizes advanced thermal stress-relieving processes followed by heavy-duty surface grinding to achieve a strict flatness tolerance of within 0.5 mm, eliminating the need for excessive on-site leveling shims. 

Can you accommodate custom anchor bolt configurations and shear key slots?

Yes. Our CNC high-definition plasma and boring machines can execute complex geometry, including oversized slotted holes, counterbores, and centralized slots for heavy shear keys/lugs to handle high lateral shear forces. 

Do your base plates come with full material traceability and documentation?

Absolutely. Every shipment from Frigate is accompanied by comprehensive documentation, including 100% traceable Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) conforming to EN 10204 Type 3.1, NDT/Ultrasonic inspection reports, and coating thickness compliance logs. 

What corrosion protection options are available for coastal or industrial environments?

To combat aggressive environments, we offer multiple surface treatments including hot-dip galvanization (HDG), zinc-rich epoxy primers, and specialized multi-coat polyurethane paint systems specified to withstand high-salinity marine or chemical exposure.
