Frigate’s defense-grade gear racks are machined from premium, ultra-high-tensile alloy steels to ensure structural integrity under severe combat and environmental stress. Every gear rack undergoes stringent non-destructive testing (NDT) and precision grinding to meet strict AGMA or DIN quality standards, guaranteeing mission-critical reliability when failure is not an option.

What defense-specific material certifications does Frigate provide?

We provide full material traceability packages, including EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certificates, chemical and mechanical mill test reports, and non-destructive testing (NDT) documentation such as Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) reports aligned with military sourcing standards. 

Can Frigate manufacture custom gear racks to replace legacy military hardware?

Yes. Our reverse-engineering and manufacturing capabilities allow us to replicate obsolete or legacy defense components from physical samples or older drawings, upgrading the material and heat treatment to improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and wear life. 

How do your gear racks maintain positioning accuracy under heavy combat shock?

We utilize a precise combination of core-toughened alloy steels and advanced induction hardening or carburizing. This creates a hard, wear-resistant outer case (up to 60 HRC) to handle tooth loads, while maintaining a ductile core that absorbs sudden kinetic impacts without fracturing. 

Do you support continuous mating for deployment lengths exceeding 3 meters?

Absolutely. We specialize in manufacturing gear racks with specifically machined, continuous-mating ends. This allows multiple segments to be aligned seamlessly end-to-end to achieve virtually infinite linear travel lengths without introducing pitch errors at the joints.
