Fabricated steel electrical cabinets for distribution, control, automation, and switchgear housing applications — manufactured to your drawing across floor-standing, wall-mount, free-standing, and rack-mount formats. Sheet thickness, internal mounting provisions, door configuration, gland entry layout, and surface finish are all defined by your specification. Supplied with dimensional consistency and finish quality maintained across every production batch — not just at first article.
Frigate fabricates electrical cabinets from CRCA steel to your drawing with external dimensional tolerance held to ±0.5 mm and component mounting hole positions to ±0.3 mm. Press brake programmes are set and locked to the approved first article — not re-set from the drawing between production runs.
This is what maintains dimensional consistency batch-to-batch across a production programme, not just at first article. Protective film is applied to all cosmetic faces before dispatch as standard. Mounting plates, DIN rail provisions, earthing studs, and gland entry plates are installed per your drawing before dispatch.
Surface finish is managed as a measured output — not a visual check. Powder coat colour is verified by spectrophotometer against your approved first article standard on every production lot (ΔE ≤1.5). DFT is measured and recorded per lot.
For production programmes supplying ongoing panel building or equipment manufacturing, Frigate retains the approved colour standard, press brake programme, and process documentation between orders — re-orders run on shorter lead times than first-run and arrive dimensionally and cosmetically consistent with every previous batch.

Ongoing cabinet supply for panel builders producing MCC, PDB, control, and automation panels. Consistent dimensions and finish across every batch — press brake programmes and colour standards retained between orders so your assembly instructions and finish standards hold without re-qualification.
Floor-standing and wall-mount cabinets for main distribution boards, sub-distribution boards, and final distribution panels in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure buildings. Custom dimensions per building services drawing; IP31 to IP54 per installation environment.
Control and automation cabinets for manufacturing plant, process control systems, and machine interfaces. DIN rail and mounting plate provisions for PLC, HMI, relay, and power supply equipment. Compartmentalised formats for power and control zone segregation.
Cabinets as the housing for manufactured electrical and electronic equipment — power supplies, drives, instrumentation systems, and communication equipment. Consistent batch dimensions allow your assembly process to repeat without cabinet-to-cabinet adjustment.
Cabinets for substation auxiliary systems, water and wastewater treatment control, transport infrastructure electrical rooms, and telecom exchange facilities. IP54 and IP65 formats for outdoor and semi-exposed installations; 304 SS option for corrosive environments.
19″ and 23″ EIA rack cabinets for network, telecoms, and data distribution applications. Rack flange hole positions held to ±0.2 mm; vented or solid door options; wall-mount and floor-standing formats from 6U to 42U.
At Frigate, quality is built into every stage of manufacturing. Our approved Quality Management System ensures that every material component.
Before production begins, all incoming materials are checked against specifications, drawings, and supplier documents.
Quality is monitored during manufacturing to prevent defects and maintain process consistency.
Finished parts are inspected before dispatch to confirm compliance with customer drawings and tolerances.
Finished components are packed safely to prevent damage during handling and transportation.
To help buyers evaluate our quality systems, we provide sample documents that reflect our inspection and reporting standards.
Complex geometries engineered solutions that move businesses forward.
Frigate works entirely from your drawing — there are no standard size constraints. Custom width, height, depth, combined access configurations, and non-standard mounting provision layouts are all within standard fabrication scope. Submit your drawing and DFM feedback is returned within 3 working days covering any features that affect dimensional consistency or finish quality in production.
Colour variation between batches almost always happens when the finish is checked visually rather than measured. Frigate verifies powder coat colour by spectrophotometer against your approved first article standard on every production lot — ΔE ≤1.5 is the acceptance criterion. If a batch measures outside that threshold, it is re-finished before dispatch. The approved colour standard is retained at Frigate’s facility for the life of the programme.
Yes — mounting plates are CNC-punched to your component layout drawing with hole positions held to ±0.3 mm, installed in the cabinet, and dispatched ready for component population. Submit your component layout drawing alongside the cabinet drawing and both are covered within the same DFM review and first article process.
For ongoing production programmes, Frigate retains all press brake programmes, punch programmes, approved colour standards, and process documentation between orders so re-orders arrive consistently without a re-qualification cycle. For programmes with a defined annual volume, a blanket order arrangement with rolling call-off releases is available — this secures capacity and stabilises pricing across the year rather than treating each order as a separate queue entry.
Where the cabinet construction is within a type-tested scope, Frigate supplies a written IEC 61439-1 TTA verification statement per shipment confirming the cabinet is a type-tested assembly. The statement is supported by the relevant type test reports and is formatted for direct submission to project verification authorities. The scope of type-tested configurations is confirmed at the enquiry stage — contact Frigate’s engineering team with your cabinet specification and rated current requirement.
