Product Description

Frigate’s downhole fittings are API-compliant, heavy-wall connection components designed to maintain structural and sealing integrity within highly abrasive and high-temperature wellbore profiles. Built for seamless integration into technical completions, these fittings minimize non-productive time (NPT) by mitigating mechanical fatigue and chemical degradation in critical subsurface flows.

Does Frigate supply full Material Test Reports (MTRs) with downhole fittings?

Yes. All downhole fittings manufactured by Frigate come standard with complete EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Reports, certifying heat numbers, chemical composition, mechanical properties, and NDT compliance for full traceability. 

Can you machine custom proprietary thread profiles or only standard API threads?

We routinely machine standard API (EUE, NUE, LP) connections as well as premium gas-tight, metal-to-metal sealing profiles. Our engineering team can work directly from your detailed CAD models or proprietary specifications to match exact completion requirements. 

How does Frigate ensure the quality of exotic alloys like Inconel 718 or Super Duplex?

We source raw materials exclusively from approved, tier-one mills. Furthermore, our internal quality control mandates comprehensive Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing alongside ultrasonic evaluation prior to CNC machining to rule out any subsurface metallurgical flaws. 

What options do you offer for high-wear or highly abrasive slurry applications?

For high-erosion environments, we offer specialized internal surface treatments including Electroless Nickel Plating (ENP), QPQ liquid nitriding, and hard-facing overlays. These significantly increase surface hardness and lower friction coefficients to mitigate erosion from proppants or sand.
