What corrosion protection systems are applied to the steel components?

All exposed structural steel elements undergo grit blasting to Sa 2 1/2 and are coated with a high-durability system matching ISO 12944 C5-M industrial guidelines, typically utilizing zinc-rich epoxy primers and polyurethane topcoats for aggressive marine environments.

How are the bearings tested before dispatch?

Every batch undergoes strict factory production control testing. This includes visual inspections, dimensional validation, and physical load testing (vertical compression and shear stiffness evaluation) on our calibrated in-house hydraulic presses. 

What are the typical maintenance requirements for these units?

Frigate bearings are designed to be virtually maintenance-free. However, we recommend routine visual inspections every 12 to 24 months to check for debris accumulation, clear drainage, unusual elastomeric bulging, or unexpected structural shifting.
