That gap is exactly what reverse engineering closes. We don't ask you to compromise on spec. We measure your imported part, match the material, replicate the process, and validate performance. If the original holds 5-micron tolerance, we hold 5-micron tolerance. If it passes IP67, ours passes IP67.
Every Frigate-localized part comes with a local content declaration showing material origin, value addition, and labour content. Documentation is structured to plug directly into your PLI claim package.
Stage 3 (Material Identification) and Stage 9 (Validation & Testing) are designed exactly for this. We test mechanical, chemical, and where critical, performance properties side-by-side. If Indian equivalent doesn't hold, we recommend continued import for that specific grade. We don't substitute silently.
Tooling-light parts (sheet metal, machining): localization typically pays back at 500-2000 units / year. Tooling-intensive parts (PDC, injection moulding): 5,000-25,000 units / year. We tell you upfront after Stage 1 whether localization makes financial sense for your volume.
