25g to 900g (titanium 45% lighter than steel equivalents)

Product Description

Rust, weak holds, and frequent swaps trouble many lug designs, driving up costs and slowing production. Our lugs counter these issues with advanced tin-plated copper or stainless steel construction, offering strong power flow and rust resistance in harsh conditions.

Barrel Length

20mm to 100mm (extended drainage slots on submerged versions)

Termination Type

Marine-grade bronze bolts (Silicon Bronze C65500) or titanium hardware

Crimping Compatibility

Hydraulic crimping with corrosion-inhibiting gel injection (compatible with 6-60T presses)

Operating Temperature Range

-55°C to 400°C (titanium) / -55°C to 300°C (super duplex)

Surface Finish

Anodized (titanium) / Electropolished (steel) / Thermal-sprayed aluminum (bronze)

Voltage Rating

1kV AC/DC (standard) / 35kV (insulated versions)

Tensile Strength

485 MPa (titanium) / 800 MPa (super duplex) / 550 MPa (bronze)

Environmental Resistance

5000+ hrs salt spray (ASTM B117) / 20-year coastal exposure rating / Chemical resistance to H2S, HCl, and NH3

Standards Compliance

NACE MR0175 (sour gas) / ISO 12944 C5-M (marine) / ASTM A923 (duplex)

Installation Method

Torque-controlled with anti-galling compounds (per ASME PCC-1)

Conductor Compatibility

Tinned copper (MIL-W-22759) / Aluminum 1350-H19 / Nickel-plated copper

Technical Advantages

Marine environments demand lugs that combat both corrosion and mechanical stress. Our Marine-Grade Lugs achieve 380 MPa tensile strength with cathodic protection compatibility, outperforming stainless steel in saltwater immersion tests.

The electroless nickel underlayer prevents crevice corrosion, while recessed set-screw designs maintain torque under constant vibration. Hydraulic crimping with injected anti-corrosive paste creates permanent seals that exceed IEEE 45 moisture penetration standards.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

What certifications validate your lugs' corrosion resistance claims?

Our lugs are tested to NACE TM0169 and ISO 9227 standards, with full documentation including 5,000+ hour salt spray test reports. They carry NACE MR0175 certification for sour gas environments and meet ISO 12944 C5-M requirements for coastal installations. Every shipment includes material traceability certificates with mill test reports for complete quality assurance.

How do your titanium lugs compare to stainless steel in chemical plants?

Grade 2 titanium lugs offer superior resistance to hydrochloric and sulfuric acid vapors compared to stainless steel, with 10X lower corrosion rates in pH<2 environments. While costing 25-30% more initially, they provide 3-5X longer service life in chemical processing applications. We recommend titanium for continuous acid exposure and super duplex stainless for intermittent chemical contact with abrasive particles.

What prevents galvanic corrosion when connecting to aluminum conductors?

Our proprietary isolation system combines PTFE sleeves with zinc-rich primers to create a controlled galvanic couple. The aluminum bronze alloy (C63000) lug body maintains less than 0.15V potential difference from aluminum conductors, while integrated sacrificial anodes provide additional cathodic protection. This system has demonstrated 15+ years service life in coastal aluminum busbar installations.

Can these lugs withstand high-pressure washdowns in food processing plants?

Yes, our FDA-compliant electropolished 316L stainless steel versions meet USDA/3-A Sanitary Standards for daily high-pressure washdowns. The smooth surface finish (Ra<0.8μm) prevents bacterial growth, while hermetically sealed crimps prevent moisture ingress even at 3,000 psi cleaning pressures. These are the preferred choice for meat/poultry processing and dairy facilities.

How do your high-temperature versions perform in furnace applications?

Our alumina-forming alloy lugs (FeCrAlY composition) maintain stable contact resistance up to 980°C continuous service, with 150+ thermal shock cycles from room temperature to 800°C. These include ceramic fiber insulation sleeves and are the only lugs rated for direct attachment to heating elements in industrial furnaces. Test reports available per ASTM B76.
