0.3 kg to 5.5 kg (reinforced for mechanical stress)

Product Description

Featuring 6-point radial compression and tin/silver plating options, these lugs maintain ≤0.5mV contact resistance at 2500A loads while surviving 1000+ hours of salt spray exposure. The heavy-duty design withstands 220MPa tensile stress and -40°C to +110°C thermal cycling – outperforming standard lugs by 40% in accelerated aging tests.

Barrel Length

25-100 mm (1.5-2× conductor diameter)

Termination Type

Hexagonal compression barrel + slotted tongue for dual fastening

Crimping Compatibility

6-point radial crimping (40-200 kN) with depth control markers

Operating Temperature Range

-40°C to +110°C (continuous), +130°C (emergency)

Surface Finish

Matte tin (standard) or bright silver (high-performance)

Voltage Rating

Up to 35 kV (IEC 61439-1 tested)

Tensile Strength

220 MPa minimum (ASTM B624 verified)

Environmental Resistance

1000-hour salt spray (ISO 9227 C5), UV-resistant for outdoor use

Standards Compliance

UL 486A-B, IEC 61238-1 Class A, BS 573, AS/NZS 4681

Installation Method

Hydraulic crimping with go/no-go gauge validation

Conductor Compatibility

Stranded copper (IEC 60228 Class 2) + aluminum (with bi-metallic paste)

Technical Advantages

Traditional lugs suffer from uneven crimping pressure, but our 6-point radial system eliminates dead zones with 40-200kN force which verified through X-ray strand contact analysis. The tin plating (8-12µm) provides 5x the corrosion resistance of bare copper, while optional silver plating (15-20µm) enhances performance in sulfur-rich environments.

Unique depth control markers enable perfect crimps without gauges, and the slotted tongue design accommodates thermal expansion without loosening. These features combine to deliver 99.8% crimp consistency in production testing.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

What makes your compression lugs superior to competitors' offerings?

Our compression lugs are manufactured from high-conductivity copper and aluminum alloys, ensuring optimal electrical performance and long-term reliability. They undergo rigorous testing to meet UL, IEC, and ASTM standards, guaranteeing compliance for industrial applications. The precision-engineered barrel design ensures a secure, low-resistance crimp every time, reducing installation time and maintenance costs.

What temperature range can these compression lugs withstand?

Our standard lugs operate reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 105°C, making them suitable for both extreme cold and high-heat environments. Special high-temperature versions with silver plating are available for applications exceeding these ranges. The materials maintain their mechanical and electrical properties throughout this spectrum without degradation.

What documentation accompanies your compression lugs for quality assurance?

Every shipment includes full material certifications, batch test reports, and compliance documentation for all applicable standards. We provide complete traceability from raw material to finished product, with optional third-party inspection certificates available. This comprehensive documentation package simplifies your quality control processes and audit requirements.

Can you provide custom configurations for specialized applications?

We offer fully customizable compression lugs, including non-standard sizes, plating options, and unique markings to meet project-specific requirements. Our engineering team works directly with clients to validate specifications and ensure proper fit for demanding environments. Custom orders maintain the same quality certifications and performance guarantees as our standard product line.

How do your lugs ensure proper crimping connection integrity?

The hexagonal barrel design creates uniform compression around the conductor, eliminating air gaps that cause resistance and heat buildup. Our lugs feature precision-machined interiors that match standard conductor diameters for optimal contact surface area. Third-party testing verifies our crimp connections maintain less than 10 micro-ohm resistance even after thermal cycling and vibration tests.
