Frigate valves keep hysteresis under 0.3% of full-scale flow, minimizing the difference between input and output signals. This tight control reduces lag and improves repeatability during fast valve movements. It is crucial for maintaining accuracy in high-speed batch processes.
The valves use multi-stage pressure reduction chambers that lower fluid velocity step-by-step. Optimized flow paths reduce vapor pressure and prevent bubble collapse. This design protects the valve even at differential pressures above 30 bar.
Special dampening diaphragms absorb pressure spikes caused by pulsations. Spring-loaded actuators adjust dynamically to keep the valve position steady. This control limits flow variation to within ±2% at pulsation frequencies up to 50 Hz.
Frigate uses Hastelloy C-276 for internal parts, which resists strong acids and solvents. Seat seals are made from PTFE-based materials for chemical compatibility. Plasma nitriding on surfaces increases hardness and wear resistance.
The valves use a modified equal percentage curve to create smooth, logarithmic flow changes. This improves control sensitivity, especially at low flow rates. Accuracy is maintained down to 2% of the valve’s maximum capacity.
