Inline Ferrules

If your wiring systems fail from loose ends during heavy use, our Inline Ferrules keep things tight and steady. Built from copper or steel, they lock wires in place to stop breakdowns in your tough setups.

Material Composition

Electrolytic copper (C10100) with tin plating (3-5μm) or nickel plating (for high-temp)

Conductor Size Range

0.25 mm² to 16 mm² (30 AWG to 6 AWG)

Current Carrying Capacity

5A to 65A (based on conductor size and ambient temperature)

Dimensions

Barrel OD: 1.2 mm to 6 mm; Length: 8 mm to 20 mm

Weight

0.2g to 5g per unit (varies by size)

Product Description

Loose wires make weak joints that can hurt parts or stop work. Our ferrules handle this with strong crimps, keeping your machines running good every day.

Barrel Length

4 mm to 12 mm (insulated portion adds 2-4 mm)

Insulation Material

PVC (standard), nylon (high-temp), or heat-shrink tubing (waterproof)

Color Coding

Standard IEC 60352-2 colors (e.g., red for 0.5-1 mm², blue for 1.5-2.5 mm²)

Crimping Compatibility

Compatible with DIN 46228 crimp tools (0.5-6 mm² dies)

Operating Temperature

-40°C to 105°C (PVC) / -40°C to 150°C (nylon)

Voltage Rating

300V (standard) / 600V (double-insulated versions)

Tensile Strength

200 MPa (copper body) / 15 N pull-out resistance (crimped)

Environmental Resistance

IP67 (heat-shrink versions), UV-resistant (outdoor nylon)

Standards Compliance

IEC 60352-2, UL 486A-B, RoHS 3, REACH SVHC-free

Installation Method

Hand crimping (for low volume) or automatic crimping machines

Conductor Compatibility

Stranded copper (Class B/C), fine-stranded (up to 0.05 mm strands)

Technical Advantages

Stranded wires need terminations that won’t loosen over time. Our inline ferrules achieve 15N pull-out resistance through cold-welded crimps that fuse strands without solder. The tin-plated copper barrels maintain <10mΩ resistance even after 1000+ thermal cycles from -40°C to 105°C. Pre-insulated collars prevent over-crimping while dual-wall heat-shrink versions provide IP67 moisture protection.

Industry Applications

Factory Automation Panels

Secures stranded wires in PLC terminals, preventing loose connections that trigger false sensor readings during continuous operation.

HVAC Control Systems

Weatherproof nylon ferrules maintain tight seals in outdoor unit terminal blocks, resisting moisture and temperature swings.

Medical Device Wiring

Precision-machined ferrules with smooth edges protect fine-stranded cables in diagnostic equipment from fraying during service.

Solar Inverter Connections

High-temp nickel-plated ferrules handle 150°C in combiner boxes, preventing thermal degradation of PV system wiring.

Railway Signaling Cabinets

Vibration-proof crimps keep signal wiring intact despite constant train-induced shaking.

Commercial Appliance Production

Color-coded ferrules speed up wiring harness assembly while meeting UL 486A safety requirements.

Inline Ferrules

Robust Connections for Inline Power

Heavy-duty wiring needs ferrules that fight weak joints and keep systems going. Our Inline Ferrules stay tough for long runs, locking wires with solid wire end seal.

Loose ends can break parts or slow your builds, losing you time and money. Our ferrules fix this with strong crimps and crimp tension hold, keeping your power work steady and fast.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

How do I choose the right ferrule size for my wires?

Measure the conductor diameter (excluding insulation) and match it to our size chart – for example, 1.5mm² wires need red ferrules. If unsure, send us a wire sample and we’ll recommend the correct size within 24 hours. Avoid using undersized ferrules, as they can damage strands during crimping.

Will these ferrules work with my existing crimping tools?

Our inline ferrules are compatible with standard DIN 46228 crimpers (0.5-6mm² range). For automatic machines, provide your tool model and we’ll verify compatibility. We also offer budget-friendly manual crimpers that reliably crimp 100+ terminations per hour.

What’s the difference between PVC and nylon insulation?

PVC ferrules (105°C rating) work for most indoor panels, while nylon (150°C) suits high-heat areas like motor control cabinets. Nylon costs 20% more but resists oils and chemicals better. For outdoor use, choose heat-shrink versions with adhesive lining.

How many crimps can one ferrule handle before failing?

Properly crimped ferrules withstand 50+ insertion cycles in terminal blocks without loosening. The tin plating prevents oxidation that could increase resistance over time. For permanent installations, we recommend single-use crimping for optimal reliability.

Do you provide samples for testing before bulk orders?

Yes, we ship sample packs of 10 ferrules in your required sizes within 2 business days. Include your wire gauge and application details, and we’ll add a matching crimping die sample. No upfront cost, pay only if you proceed with a full order.
