Industry Applications

Telecommunication Infrastructure

Used to protect routers, switches, and fiber management systems, these enclosures offer thermal regulation and ingress protection for outdoor and remote installations.

Medical Equipment Housing

Enclosures for diagnostic and imaging systems are built to support electromagnetic compatibility, sterile surfaces, and precision cutouts for patient interface devices and displays.

Aerospace Electronic Modules

Designed for high-altitude and temperature-sensitive environments, enclosures integrate lightweight materials, vibration dampening, and hermetic sealing to support avionics and flight control systems.

Military and Defense Systems

Provide shielding from RF interference, impact resistance, and corrosion protection in enclosures for radar modules, communication units, and field-deployable computing devices.

Energy and Power Distributio

Enclosures protect switchgear, control panels, and monitoring electronics from arc flash, moisture ingress, and high thermal loads in substations and renewable energy farms.

Rail and Transportation Electronics

Used to house signal control, passenger information systems, and monitoring units, ensuring resistance to mechanical shock, temperature extremes, and long-term vibration.

Windowed & Clear Cover Enclosures

Advanced Thermal Management Systems

Integrated Cooling Options

Built-in heat sinks, vents, and fan mounts manage internal temperatures to protect heat-sensitive components.

Passive and Active Regulation

Combining convection, conduction, and forced-air cooling maintains optimal thermal profiles across varied load conditions.

Optimized Heat Flow Paths

Thermal interfaces and layout design ensure efficient heat transfer away from high-dissipation zones.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Questions

How does Frigate ensure enclosure stability under high mechanical stress or vibration?

Frigate uses FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to simulate stress distribution and reinforce critical mounting points. Enclosures are built with internal ribs or damping mounts to reduce resonance. Fasteners and joints are torque-rated to resist loosening under continuous vibration. Materials like stainless steel or reinforced polymers are chosen based on the vibration profiles of the target environment.

Can Frigate design enclosures that support real-time thermal diagnostics?

Yes, Frigate integrates temperature sensor mounts and thermal probe channels into the design. These enclosures allow RTDs, thermocouples, or digital sensors to be placed in high-heat zones. Cable routing paths ensure sensor wiring does not interfere with component layout. The design also supports access ports for infrared thermal scanning during live operation.

How does Frigate manage differential expansion in enclosures with mixed materials?

Frigate uses floating mounts or flex joints between dissimilar materials to account for thermal expansion coefficients during design. Slots or reliefs are added to allow controlled movement without stressing the structure. Material pairs are chosen to reduce mismatch where possible. Adhesives or fasteners are rated for thermal cycling to avoid fatigue failure.

What approach does Frigate use for moisture control in IP-rated enclosures?

Frigate applies pressure-equalization vents with hydrophobic membranes to balance internal pressure without letting water in. Gasket materials are selected based on compression set resistance and chemical compatibility. Drainage channels are machined into the base to remove ingress from seal failure. The enclosure design is validated through IP testing up to IP67 or higher.

How does Frigate support modular expansion in custom enclosures?

Frigate designs enclosures with rail-based mounting systems, interchangeable panels, and expansion slots. Removable side covers allow access to future modules without full disassembly. Pre-drilled standoffs and cable pass-throughs are integrated for plug-and-play scalability. All structural and thermal tolerances are preserved even after configuration changes.
