Nipoflanges

When compact layouts meet high-pressure flow demands, leaks and connection failures often follow. Our Nipoflanges solutions integrate the strength of forged flanges with the direct line routing of high-grade nipples.

Standard Specification

ASME B16.11 (Nipple) + ASME B16.5 (Flange), MSS SP-97 (Integral Design

Pressure Rating

Class 3000, 6000 (Nipple) + Class 150-2500 (Flange) [Derated per combined assembly]

Material

Carbon Steel (A105/A234 WPB), Stainless Steel (A182 F304/A403 WP304), Alloy Steel (A234 WP11)

Nominal Size

½” to 8″ (DN15 to DN200) [Max length = 12″ (300mm)]

Flange Type

Weld Neck (WN), Slip-On (SO), or Threaded (TH) [Integral with nipple]

Product Description

This unified design cuts down weld joints, improves stress distribution, and supports reliable flow in space-limited systems. Our Nipoflanges help reduce installation steps and minimize fitting errors, saving both time and cost in complex assemblies.

Facing Type

Raised Face (RF), Flat Face (FF) [No RTJ option]

Dimensions

Nipple length: 3″ to 12″ (75-300mm) [Wall thickness per ASME B36.10]

Bolt Circle Diameter

Matches standard flange size [ASME B16.5 Table 4]

Number & Size of Bolt Holes

Matches standard flange [4-16 holes depending on size]

Surface Finish

125-250 μin RA (flange face), 32-63 μin Ra (nipple bore)

Corrosion Resistance

Galvanized (A153), Lined (PTFE/Rubber), or Stainless Steel

Temperature Rating

-29°C to +400°C [Limited by nipple-to-flange weld]

Material Certification

EN 10204 3.1, PED 2014/68/EU, NACE MR0175 (optional)

Gasket Compatibility

Standard flange gaskets [Full-face type recommended]

Coating/Plating

Hot-dip galvanized (HDG), Xylan coating, Electroless nickel

Manufacturing Method

Forged flange + Seamless nipple (A106) [Or integrally cast per MSS SP-97]

Technical Advantages

We machine each Nipoflange to match ASME B16.5 and MSS SP-97 standards with derated pressure guidance for mixed-class assemblies. The integral weld reduces misalignment and lowers fatigue under vibration compared to two-part joints.
Surface finish ranges from 125 to 250 μin RA for the flange face and 32 to 63 μin Ra for the bore, ensuring reliable gasket sealing. Optional EN 10204 3.1 and NACE MR0175 certification supports traceability and sour service applications.

Industry Applications

Refinery Pipe Racks –

A105 carbon steel Nipoflanges handle thermal cycling and high vibration in hydroprocessing unit headers.

Power Plant Heat Recovery Systems

WP11 alloy steel builds withstand 400°C superheated steam in high-pressure bypass loops.

Petrochemical Distribution Skids

Seamless A106 nipples with class 6000 ratings support high pulsation flow in confined module layouts.

LNG Processing Facilities

PTFE-lined stainless steel units resist cryogenic temperatures and prevent gas leakage at joint zones.

FPSO Topside Equipment

Xylan-coated flange faces offer marine-grade corrosion protection for seawater-handling subsystems

High-Pressure Boiler Feed Units

Integral design per MSS SP-97 lowers stress risers and supports Class 2500 pumping systems.

Built for Secure Flow and Fast Assembly

Complex pipe systems demand fewer risks at every joint. Our Nipoflanges remove extra connections, lowering leak points without adding bulk. You get shorter fabrication time, fewer parts to stock, and a tight-sealing interface that holds under high pressure.

We support sizes up to 8 inches and offer weld neck, slip-on, or threaded ends to match your exact routing plan. That means more control over layout, better stress control at joints, and faster project closure for your team.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

Can you supply Nipoflanges with different nipple lengths per project needs?

Yes, we can supply lengths from 3 inches to 12 inches as per your drawing or specification. The nipple follows ASME B36.10 wall thickness guidelines. Custom lengths do not impact flange integrity if weld zone limits are followed.

How do you derate pressure ratings when combining nipple and flange classes?

We apply the lower of the two class ratings and refer to MSS SP-97 design limits. For example, a Class 6000 nipple with a Class 600 flange operates at Class 600 only. This method avoids failure at mismatched weld joints.

Can you offer NACE MR0175 compliance for sour service units

Yes, we provide NACE-compliant materials and issue certification per EN 10204 3.1 format. Sour service orders follow material traceability and hardness limits. We verify welds for embrittlement resistance where required.

What gasket type works best with your Nipoflanges?

We recommend using full-face gaskets for better sealing and load spread. The flanges face roughness ranges from 125 to 250 μin RA. Our RF and FF facings accept standard spiral wound or compressed fiber gaskets.

Do you offer coatings suitable for corrosive and marine conditions?

Yes, we offer hot-dip galvanized, electroless nickel, and Xylan coatings. Coating choice depends on service fluid, temperature, and environment. All coated units pass thickness and adhesion tests before dispatch.
