Industry Applications

Power Distribution Panels

Heavy-duty lugs handle large load transfers and support uninterrupted energy supply in high-demand panel assemblies.

Heavy Machinery

Secure lug fittings withstand vibration and thermal stress during constant heavy-load operations.

Railway Systems

Enable reliable traction current flow under frequent load cycling and weather variation.

Marine Equipment

Corrosion-resistant lugs maintain secure electrical links in saltwater exposure and high-moisture conditions.

Mining Equipment

Durable lug design handles high current with strong grip under continuous shocks and dust exposure.

Substations and Switchgear

Low-resistance contacts ensure stable current during peak flow with minimal energy loss.

Reliable Connection Strength

High Current Holding

Frigate’s lugs maintain firm mechanical grip and carry currents over 400A without performance drop.

Thermal Endurance

Designed for temperatures above 150°C, the lugs retain shape and conductivity during peak operation.

Tight-Fit Stability

Each lug resists loosening from vibration, supporting long hours in mobile or high-impact equipment.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Questions

What materials does Frigate use for heavy-duty lugs?

Frigate uses high-conductivity electrolytic copper with tin or silver plating for better corrosion resistance. These materials ensure minimal voltage drop under high current loads. All batches pass ASTM B187 and IS 1897 standards.

Can Frigate support custom lug dimensions or hole sizes?

Yes, we supply lugs in both standard and custom dimensions based on busbar or terminal requirements. We support custom hole sizes, slot types, and tongue lengths. Drawings are reviewed under DFM guidelines to confirm fit and functionality.

How does you test mechanical strength and current-carrying capacity?

Each lug undergoes pull-out testing and current cycling to validate mechanical grip and thermal resistance. Test setups follow IEC 61238-1 and UL 486A/B standards. Reports are shared on request for technical validation.

What are the current and temperature ranges Fri lugs can support?

Frigate’s heavy-duty lugs can carry currents from 150A to over 600A depending on size and design. The temperature range extends up to 155°C continuous exposure. These values are validated through routine batch testing.

Does Frigate offer lugs with crimp, bolt, or solder options?

Yes, we offer lugs with crimp barrels, bolt-type terminals, and solder-filled variants for different assembly needs. Selection depends on cable type and installation conditions. We guide buyers on the best fit during inquiry.
