  • Here are some of the prerequisites that are required to develop an IOT-enabled product: 1. Hardware: To build the hardware of any IOT product, you first need to select the hardware board for your project based on the size of the device, manufacturing and expiry date, types of sensors supported, connectivity capability and computation. Once the hardware board is selected, you need to get ready for its design. We recommend following the “Design for Manufacturing” principle when designing the hardware of a product. After the designs are prepared, you need to manufacture it. 2. Firmware Development: Once the hardware of an IOT product is manufactured successfully, the next step is to develop its firmware to make the hardware run and interact with the software. 3. Edge Computing: Instead of Cloud Computing, we recommend edge computing for IOT product data capturing. Using edge computing, the data can be produced at the edge of the IOT network and can be used for intelligent decision making. 4. Application Development: Once the product is ready, you can create an IOT application that can interact with the IOT device to take any action.
