Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Questions

How does Frigate maintain dimensional stability in HVAC parts exposed to long thermal cycles?

Frigate applies thermal drift compensation inside closed-loop CNC systems to maintain part tolerances during extended machining under heat. Embedded sensors detect spindle stretch, axis backlash, and heat-induced table distortion in real time. Correction algorithms adjust toolpaths dynamically, ensuring dimensional deviation remains within ±5 µm. This process is especially important when machining copper or aluminum cooling components, where thermal expansion can affect fit or seal integrity. Consistent cooling paths and stability are verified with in-process probing after each major operation.

Can Frigate machine copper and aluminum HVAC components without surface damage or warping?

Yes. Frigate applies low-force tooling strategies, multi-pass material removal, and high-flush coolant cycles to prevent surface tearing and micro-warping in soft metals. Fixtures with vacuum and pressure balance systems keep the parts stable without overstressing edges or thin sections. Tool geometries and feeds are fine-tuned to match the thermal and mechanical behavior of each metal type. As a result, fan housings, condenser plates, and fluid routing blocks are machined to spec without edge burrs or deformation.

How does Frigate achieve seal-ready surface finishes in refrigeration assemblies?

Frigate uses fine turning, diamond polishing, and controlled-speed milling to reach Ra values below 0.4 µm on sealing surfaces. These include O-ring seats, valve interface ports, and compressor contact faces. Surface topography is validated using contact profilometers and optical comparators. Finish quality is optimized to prevent leakage across pressure cycles, improve gasket lifespan, and reduce wear under refrigerant exposure. Seal readiness is confirmed through fit-check protocols during final inspection.

What kind of traceability does Frigate offer for HVAC-critical machined parts?

Frigate integrates every HVAC part with a digital identifier linked to full machining and inspection records. Each lot or part carries data logs for tool wear, cutting parameters, fixturing alignment, inspection metrics, and coating history. The data stream remains tied to that part across finishing and packing steps. This enables backward analysis for failure cases or warranty issues, and supports compliance with ASHRAE documentation and OEM audit programs.

How does Frigate control contamination for internal HVAC and refrigeration system parts?

Frigate follows controlled machining workflows for internal system components like expansion valves, fluid couplers, and thermal regulators. All parts are deburred, washed in deionized solution, and air-blast dried to remove chips, fluids, and particulates. Clean zones are used for packing any component that interfaces directly with refrigerant or sealed flow paths. Documentation includes particle count logs and cleaning cycle traceability, meeting standards expected by major HVAC system integrators.
