Spacer Coupling (API 671) – Thermal growth compensation

Technical Advantages

Hot oil systems often break down from improper seal selection or poor bearing life. We use double mechanical seals with TC/TC or SiC/SiC faces, backed by API Plan 53 or 54 for thermal safety.
Our pumps handle thermal shocks due to centerline mounting, expansion joints, and balanced impellers. For fluids with high vapor pressure, we apply low-NPSH suction design and limit speeds to reduce cavitation.

Industry Applications

Thermal Oil Heaters

Used in heating loops above 350°C, with centerline-mounted casing and expansion-friendly coupling to avoid shaft misalignment.

Polymer and Chemical Reactors

Handles synthetic oil and high-viscosity fluids up to 500 cSt, with duplex impellers for high wear resistance.

Bitumen and Asphalt Plants

Moves hot bitumen reliably using carbon steel casing and ceramic bearings that resist clogging and thermal fatigue.

Pharmaceutical Jacketed Vessels

Maintains precise heat with low-NPSH configurations and API 53 seal plans to prevent cross-contamination.

Molten Salt Systems in CSP Plants

Operates continuously at 450°C using high-graphite bearings and spacer couplings to absorb shaft expansion.

Food Oil Frying Units

Transfers thermal oils in hygienic zones with stainless steel internals and ANSI 150# flanged connections for easy cleaning.

Hot Oil Pumps

High-Temperature Transfer Without Failures

High-temperature pumps must match site voltage, duty cycle, and mounting style from the start. Our Hot Oil Pumps arrive pre-matched to your fluid, connection, and temperature profiles to avoid later rework.
With full documentation support and build flexibility, we remove fitment and startup uncertainty. From asphalt to polymers, Hot Oil pumps stay online even when heat and viscosity push limits.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

Can you match pump design to our site voltage and regional motor specs?

Yes, we build pumps with motors rated for 380V to 480V, 50Hz or 60Hz, based on your regional grid. We also offer variable frequency drive (VFD) readiness if your system needs flow control. All motors come aligned and mounted to avoid mismatch at installation.

Can we choose the seal type based on the fluid temperature and media

Absolutely, we offer double mechanical seals in TC/TC or SiC/SiC combinations, with API Plan 53 or 54. The seal selection depends on fluid compatibility, system pressure, and flush requirements. We size the seal chamber and cooling jacket based on your input data.

How do you handle high-viscosity fluids or low NPSH systems

For fluids up to 500 cSt or near boiling points, we reduce operating speed and increase impeller eye area. We design the suction side with 3 to 10 meters NPSH requirement depending on your fluid properties. Our team runs thermal and flow checks before freeze-out.

What connection standards and flange ratings can you provide?

We offer flanged connections in ANSI 150#, 300#, and 600# as well as RTJ on request. Connection sizes range from 50 mm to 300 mm and we match it to your pipeline class. If you’re replacing an existing pump, we can mirror flange positions and height.

What pre-order data do you need to begin manufacturing?

We need flow rate, pressure, temperature, fluid type, viscosity, and required duty cycle hours. Based on that, we finalize impeller diameter, motor power, and cooling needs. You also confirm mounting style and control method to avoid mismatch at site.
