Vertical Turbine Pumps

Horizontal Pumps Often Fail at Deep Draw or Multi-Stage Head Requirements. Our Vertical Turbine Pumps handles deep-set, high-head fluid movement with adjustable column length and multi-stage impeller support.

Flow Rate Range

10 m³/h to 50,000 m³/h (44 GPM to 220,000 GPM)

Pressure/Head Capacity

Up to 600 meters (1,968 feet) – Multi-stage designs available

Power Requirements

5.5 kW to 3000 kW (7.5 HP to 4000+ HP), 4-pole/6-pole motors, 50/60 Hz, VFD compatible

Materials of Construction

Bowl/Column: Cast Iron, Stainless Steel (SS 304/316), Bronze, Ductile Iron Impeller: Bronze, Ni-Resist, CD4MCu, Polycarbonate

Fluid Compatibility

Water (Clean/Submersible), Chemicals, Oil, Mildly Abrasive Liquids (depends on material)

Product Description

Conventional pumps struggle with vertical lift, solids handling, or motor alignment issues in large-capacity operations. This model resolves those limits using rigid shaft couplings, VFD-compatible motors, and corrosion-resistant bowl configurations for variable fluids.

Temperature Range

10°C to +120°C (14°F to 248°F) – Higher with special materials/seals

Connection Types & Sizes

Flanged (ANSI/ASME, DIN), Threaded (BSP/NPT), sizes: 50 mm to 1000 mm (2″ to 40″)

Bowl Assembly Configuration

Open/Closed Impeller, Multi-Stage (2 to 10+ stages), Adjustable Bowl Length

Seal System

Shaft Seals: Mechanical Seal (Single/Double), Packing Gland Column Lubrication: Water/Oil-Lubricated Options

Efficiency Rating

75% to 90% (depends on stages & design)

NPSH Required

2 m to 10 m (6.5 ft to 33 ft) – Higher for high-speed models

Speed Range

900 RPM to 3600 RPM (common: 1800 RPM for deep wells)

Solids Handling Capability

Clean Water: Standard Abrasive/Slurries: Hardened Metals or Rubber-Lined

Certifications & Standards

API 610, AWWA E103, ISO 9001, HI Standards, NSF/ANSI 61 (Potable Water)

Operating Noise Level

< 80 dB(A) (low vibration due to vertical design)

Coupling System

Top-Drive: Rigid Flange Coupling, Keyed Shaft Line-Shaft: Adjustable Spacer Couplings

Technical Advantages

Conventional horizontal systems cannot sustain head above 100 meters without multiple motors or space-heavy layouts. Our vertical turbine pumps support up to 600 meters with stacked impellers and inline shaft alignment.

Each unit runs with minimal vibration due to rigid couplings and guided line shafts. The sealed bowl assembly avoids leakage even under full column pressure.

Industrial Applications

Desalination Intake Systems

Draws seawater from coastal wells with stainless steel or bronze internals, resisting salt-induced pitting and cavitation under high TDS loads.

Thermal Power Plants

Feeds condenser cooling circuits with high-flow, low-NPSH pumps built to operate under thermal cycles and abrasive impurities.

Oil Refining Units

Handles chemical-laden or mildly abrasive liquids with CD4MCu or Ni-Resist impellers, ensuring safe vertical movement under volatile loads.

Municipal Water Stations

Transfers large volumes from deep wells to surface tanks using multi-stage bowls with minimal floor space and noise footprint.

Agricultural Irrigation

Vertical Turbine pumps clean or silty water from deep borewells through adjustable column lengths, with easy service access at head level.

Steel Plant Cooling Systems

Manages recycled water with polycarbonate or ductile iron wetted parts, resisting scale and solid traces during recirculation.

Vertical Turbine Pumps

Built for Long-Term Utility

Many buyers face alignment, coupling mismatch, or column wear in generic pump builds. Our pumps avoids those issues with shaft guidance, flexible seal options, and standard flanged connections.
From 50 mm to 1000 mm pipe sizes, it supports ANSI, DIN, or BSP standards without custom machining. We supply compatible shaft seals, lubrication types, and RPM range details to match any motor make.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

Can you match column length to our borewell depth without site modifications?

Yes, we supply adjustable column lengths in sections based on your depth requirements. You can select 2 to 10 or more stages as per head calculations. This avoids foundation changes or motor repositioning.

Do you provide shaft alignment or coupling support during installation?

We offer drawings for rigid and spacer coupling systems based on your motor type. You get shaft length specs and alignment tolerances in advance. This simplifies erection and ensures smooth vertical load transfer.

Can we request alternate impeller materials for abrasive fluids?

Yes, we offer CD4MCu, Ni-Resist, and polycarbonate impellers for such conditions. You can choose depending on the slurry type and particle content. We also support rubber-lined internals for mild abrasives.

Are vertical turbine pumps compatible with our existing VFD or control systems?

Yes, we provide 4-pole or 6-pole motors compatible with standard VFD drives. You can run them on 50 Hz or 60 Hz without major rewiring. Our team can help you match speed range with head curves.

Do you support dual lubrication options for the line shaft?

Yes, we offer both water-lubricated and oil-lubricated shaft sleeves. You can select based on maintenance frequency or fluid compatibility. Lubrication details are shared in the assembly drawing for pre-checks.
