Type H Power Cords

Type H Power Cords are designed to meet SI 32 (Israeli standard) specifications with exact prong geometry and grounding alignment. These cords maintain 100% compatibility with Israeli 16A/250V outlets, ensuring direct connectivity without the risk of mechanical or electrical mismatch. The plug interface is manufactured with tight dimensional tolerances to avoid insertion loss, arcing, or loose contact under varying load conditions.

Technical Advantages

Type H Power Cords use double-layer thermoplastic or thermoset insulation, compliant with IEC 60227 and IEC 60245. The insulation system withstands dielectric breakdown at ≥2.5 kV RMS, providing sufficient clearance and creepage for high-pollution environments. Flame-retardant materials (IEC 60332-1) ensure resistance to ignition in confined enclosures or heat-prone installations.

Type H Power Cords are available with Class 5 fine-stranded copper conductors, enabling repeated flexing over 30,000 cycles without conductor fracture or insulation breach. Cables include overmolded strain reliefs tested to withstand axial pull forces exceeding 60N, preserving termination integrity in high-movement or suspended configurations. Jacket materials maintain tensile strength above 13.5 MPa post-heat aging at 136°C.

Type H Power Cords

Conductivity and Power Loss Management

Type H Power Cords minimize power dissipation via high-conductivity copper strands with class 2 or 5 flexibility and precision extrusion. Voltage drop is limited to <3% over 5 meters at 16A, verified through four-point Kelvin resistance measurements. Shielding options can be incorporated to reduce EMI in sensitive load applications.

Type H Power Cords are resistant to UV, ozone, oils, and mild industrial chemicals, with jackets passing IEC 60811-404 for oil resistance and EN 50396 for ozone durability. The insulation system shows no brittleness after 168-hour exposure at 70°C in synthetic oil. Suitable for both indoor and light outdoor use with optional weatherproof variants.

Having Doubts? Our FAQ

Check all our Frequently Asked Question

How does Frigate ensure insulation reliability in Type H Power Cords used in high-humidity environments?

Frigate uses insulation compounds tested to IEC 60227 with a volume resistivity >10¹³ Ω·cm even at 90% relative humidity. The outer sheath is thermally extruded to prevent micro-cracking or moisture ingress. All cords undergo a 24-hour humidity chamber test at 60°C and high RH. This ensures stable dielectric strength and no leakage current rise under wet conditions.

What type of copper conductors does Frigate use in Type H Power Cords for low resistance performance?

Frigate uses Class 5 high-conductivity electrolytic copper with purity ≥99.99%. The conductors are drawn and annealed to maintain flexibility and resist oxidation. Resistance per meter is kept below 0.018 Ω, verified by four-point measurement. This reduces heat buildup and improves efficiency under continuous high current loads.

How are Frigate’s Type H Power Cords tested for high-voltage dielectric breakdown?

Each cord is tested at 2.5 kV RMS for 1 minute as per IEC 60320 standards. Hi-pot testing ensures no flashover, insulation puncture, or arc propagation. Frigate logs these results in digital batch records for traceability. Cords that fail any dielectric test are rejected at source before packaging.

Can Frigate supply custom-length Type H Power Cords with molded C13 or C15 connectors?

Yes, Frigate offers lengths from 0.3 m to 10 m with molded IEC 60320 C13, C15, or unterminated ends. All terminations are tested for polarity, continuity, and pull strength ≥60N. The molding process uses precision dies to ensure strain relief and IP20 ingress protection. Custom labeling and batch trace codes are also available on request.

What standards and certifications do Frigate's Type H Power Cords comply with for export use?

Frigate manufactures Type H Power Cords in full compliance with SI 32, IEC 60884-1, RoHS, and REACH directives. Products also meet CE marking criteria for the EU market. Each shipment includes test reports and Certificate of Conformity (CoC). Frigate provides material safety datasheets and insulation tracking indices upon request.
