Frigate uses triple-insulated wire and reinforced insulation barriers to meet creepage and clearance standards even in sub-10 mm designs. We apply vacuum potting with thermally stable compounds to prevent dielectric failure under thermal cycling. All units are tested at 3 kV Hi-Pot for isolation integrity. This ensures user safety and circuit separation even under surge conditions.
Frigate integrates multi-layer shielding using foil-braid combinations and controlled cable geometry to suppress radiated emissions. We maintain differential pair symmetry and use ferrite-loaded terminations where needed. Each assembly is validated through near-field scanning and CISPR-32 testing. This helps us meet strict EMC requirements in devices like tablets and gaming consoles.
We use annealed copper conductors with precise pitch control and laser-defined slits to allow multidirectional flex. Polyimide insulation is selected for its high tear strength and resistance to thermal deformation. Frigate subjects these FFCs to 100,000+ bend cycles at sub-5 mm radii during qualification. They retain signal integrity without micro-cracks or delamination.
Frigate employs accelerated thermal aging tests at 125°C and 150°C while applying rated current continuously. Post-test, we measure insulation resistance, voltage breakdown, and mechanical elongation. We also conduct thermal shock testing between -40°C and +85°C for rapid transitions. This ensures stable performance in smartphones and wearables exposed to body heat and ambient variation.
We use precision extrusion dies and laser micrometers to hold insulation thickness within ±0.01 mm across reels. Conductor concentricity is monitored in real time to prevent offset-induced impedance mismatches. Tension-controlled winding avoids micro-kinking during spooling. This results in consistent performance across automated SMT and crimping processes.
