What is FAQS (Frigate Assured Quality System) and how is it different from general quality control?

FAQS is Frigate’s in-house structured process control system. It ensures that every project follows strict documentation, planning, validation, and quality checkpoints. Unlike general quality control, FAQS begins from the feasibility stage and continues through production and handover. It is inspired by APQP but customized to Frigate’s real-world execution model. 

Why has Frigate built a custom system instead of using just APQP or ISO standards?

Global clients often face execution gaps despite certified systems. We built FAQS to close that gap. It simplifies APQP logic into traceable checkpoints with clear approvals. This lets clients see how each phase is moving. It prevents delays and uncontrolled production releases. 

Is FAQS applicable to all kinds of large and small projects?

Yes. Whether it's a large industrial assembly or a small mechanical part, we apply FAQS across every order. This keeps consistency and removes dependency on individual project managers. The same core stages are followed every time. 

How does FAQS improve communication during project execution?

Each phase has a clear documentation and approval requirement. Clients receive updates only after internal checkpoints are passed. This avoids incomplete updates or uncertain timelines. Every milestone has traceable backing, not just emails or verbal confirmations. 

What happens if a document or phase is delayed? Will I be informed?

Yes. FAQS is built with check-in gates. If a document is pending or a review is delayed, our system raises a flag. Clients are notified proactively. This removes surprises during final delivery. It also pushes our team to solve issues early. 

Can I see or audit the documents used in FAQS for my project?

Absolutely. Every client gets access to their project’s full documentation trail. You can ask for any file at any stage from feasibility drawings to PPAP submissions. We believe in full transparency. 

What if I don’t understand some of the document names listed in FAQS?

No problem. Each document has a clear explanation. We also assign a SPOC (Single Point of Contact) who can explain what each document means and why it matters. We want you to be comfortable with the process, not overwhelmed. 

How does FAQS help reduce rework or part failure after production starts?

Most errors happen because of poor planning or rushed handovers. FAQS stops this by locking approval at every critical gate, including material specs, process plans, and control documents. This keeps failures or rework minimal after the ramp-up. 

Does this system slow down my delivery timeline because of all the checkpoints?

No. FAQS is built to reduce time wastage, not add more time. The goal is to move each step in parallel wherever possible. Because each task is planned early, execution becomes smoother. Many clients experience faster deliveries compared to ad-hoc methods. 

What assurance do I get that Frigate will follow this system once the order is placed?
